A Professor & Diplomat Across Four Decades
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail Elamin is a Sudanese academic, diplomat, and public intellectual whose career spans more than forty years across science, scholarship, government, and multilateral diplomacy - combining scientific rigor with strategic geopolitical insight.

Holding a doctorate in Immunological Biochemistry from the University of Bristol and a doctorate in International Relations from Omdurman Islamic University, Dr. Elamin brings a rare combination of scientific discipline and diplomatic experience to the study of Islam and global affairs.
Today he serves as Program Director and Professor of Islam and Global Affairs at the College of Islamic Studies, Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Doha, and as an Associate Fellow of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), in its Non-Communicable Diseases department. His scholarship and advocacy consistently emphasize intercultural dialogue, humanitarian diplomacy, peacebuilding, deeply rooted ethical leadership in a regional and international perspective, and advocacy for the Palestinian cause and other just causes.
A native Arabic speaker, he is fluent in English and has basic French.
